Kollywood mourns KV Anand’s demise – Times of India

Acclaimed cinematographer and director KV Anand breathed his last on Friday morning in Chennai hospital. The shocking demise has sent the Tamil film fraternity into mourning. K-town celebritites and fans of KV Anand are sharing heartfelt tribute for the National Award winning cinematographer.

Mourning the shocking demise, actress Radikaa tweeted, “Shocked beyond words to hear of director cameraman #kvanand demise due to a massive heart attack. So young and talented, what a loss to the industry. RIP” (sic)

‘Anegan’ actress Amyra Dastur tweeted, “#kvanand Sir, you were one of the most passionate & disciplined filmmaker’s I had the honour to work with. You launched me into Tamil Cinema & for that I will always be forever grateful. Thank you for everything sir. Cinema will not be the same without you. Rest in Peace sir .” (sic)

Fellow cinematogrpaher and friend Ravi K Chandran posted, “It’s so shocking to hear about KV Anand. A dear friend who was very passionate about cinematography and film making .. my deepest condolences to his family, fans and our film industry friend.#RIPKVAnand” (sic)

A devastated music composer Harris Jayaraj, who has worked with the director in most of his films which include Ayan, Ko, Maattrraan, Anegan and Kaappaan posted, “unfortunate and extremely shock to hear this devastating News. RIP my friend KV Anand.” (sic)

A heart broked director Bakkiyaraj Kannan tweeted, “Heartbroken to hear that KV Anand sir is no more. We lost a gem of a human being Broken heart May your soul rest in peace sir.” (sic)

In a state of shock, popular lyricist Vivek posted, “Absolutely Shocked to know K V Anand sir is no more. May his family find the strength to endure this tragedy. It’s tough time for the world and the tamil film industry. Losing one gem after the other. Devastated.” (sic)
